Tommee Tippee Straw Cup - Review and how to fix the most common issue with these

I recently got 2 sets of Tommee Tippee straw cups.  They are actually called Explora Truly Spill Proof straw cup.  The name is the truth, these cups are spill proof!  I have tried a few other kinds of straw cups for J, and they all leaked if she laid it on the couch for example, and walked away.  She drinks almost everything out of a "big people" cup, but with her chocolate milk I don't mess around.  She doesn't enjoy listening, so she doesn't seem to mind when she drops it, or puts it down sideways :-P lol  So that's why we have a need for straw cups, plus they are also great for outings and car rides.

I'm not alone with the issues I had with this cup however.  I'm just glad I now know how to have these cups work perfectly every time now!  I could not figure out how to attach everything on the inside to get it to flow right every time.  I did get lucky sometimes, and then not lucky other times.  I thought it had to do with it not being completely dry, or not pushed in tight enough, or too tight.  Turns out it's super easy once you find out exactly what to do.  Inside the cup it's a 3 part system.  A clear suction cup like thing, a white valve, and the straw itself.  I just watched the video on youtube made by Tomme Tippee showing how to properly fasten the cup.  I was so overly excited I thought I had to write a post about this to share with anyone else who might of been having issues.  Watch the video below, and see how easy it it.  I was trying to fasten everything together when it was already pushed into place, but it has to be put together and THEN pushed into place.  Makes a world of difference.  I hope this can help anyone who was having issues, or was trying to decide which straw cups to buy.  I highly recommend these, a 2 pack at Toys R Us is only $7.99, and they are spill proof!

Thank you so much! I didn't put it back together correctly after the first wash and kept offering my baby a drink.... poor thing! Nothing was coming out! I was going crazy trying to figure out what was wrong with it - now I've got it.

hahah I am so glad I wasn't the only one! I was going crazy, and felt horrible when I found out our daughter wasn't getting anything. I just kept telling her to suck harder lol, then I try and nothing.
These cups work amazing once put together properly :-)
